Directions from the station:

Turn right (south) onto the street in front of the station.
Walk to the second traffic light and turn left.
Cross the first traffic light by the gasoline station, and continue about 100 meters.
Zenkoji is on your left side, 20 meters before the second traffic light.

Parking is available in front of the temple, upon request.

Access to Takayama
You can use the JR pass for all major train lines leading to Takayama, except for some Shinkansen trains. Ask for an English Shinkansen schedule at any station.
